My doctor recently put me on pristiq for depression. Has anyone else been prescribed this? Good results? And side effects? Thanks!

My doctor put me on Pristiq which normally is prescribed for depression. He told me it has also been used for people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. When I went to the doctor I told him I had no energy and I also need to lose weight. So he told me to take the Pristiq 50mg and the Wellbutrin sr 150mg and I should start having more energy and lose weight also. Does any one have any advice for me? I am trying to get on my treadmill daily but it is really hard with no energy. I have been taking the Pristiq and Wellbutrin sr for about a month and have seen no changes.I don't feel depressed. I think it's more Anxiety, but that's what the doctor prescribe for me. Any suggestions on weight loss pills to give me a boost to get going?

I was taken off Cymbalta. That medication was like poison to my system. I am now on Pristiq. Has any one taken it, and how successful has it been for you? Thanks

I have tried several antidepressants with horrible side effects. The doc. but me on Pristiq today but I am scared to try it, because I have had such poor luck with side effects. Anybody do well on it? Thanks for any help

I've been taking 20mg of Paxil for a while and now switching to Pristiq because the Paxil doesn't seem to be helping. Any feedback would be much appreciated. I've been troubled with anxiety and depression for over 20 years and can't find anything that helps for depression...it's literally killing me.

if you have tried it how did it work for you?? its a new med and something has to give with me. i need a life . i go to rhumitoligy soon and its depressing me cause i wanna know whats wrong but before that i was depressed so im asking if anyone has taken this? how did you feel? when did it start working and do you take it in the day or night? thanks thanks piper im not taking it at all. i hear you also lose weight from it and i dont want too . i threw them out . im gonna get what you said and train my so called brain to get on track . hope that makes sense because im not on track yet lol thanks :) thanks piper and I'm gonna do that. i don't want anymore antidepressants because IMO they mess my head up more.

I take 600mg of Seroquel and 50mg of Pristiq. What will happen if I add 20mg of Adderall (instant release)? (Answers: 2) (Comments: 1)

I have been prescribed the Seroquel for psychosis, and Pristiq for depression. I used to take 20mg of Adderall before these drugs. Will the Adderall work? Would it be safe?
